Life Is About ... People
Sep 24, '07 12:23 PMfor everyone
I was given a book on Father's Day by someone on my staff entitled 'Be A People Person' by John Maxwell. I have really enjoyed reading the book. In chapter one he speaks 'treating other people the way YOU want others to treat you'. The key question is 'how do you want other people to treat you!'
No matter if you are male or female, young or old, we all want to be treated in a particular way. We all have a need to be encouraged, affirmed or appreciated, someone who will listen, forgive and understand us. Consider the following short course in human relations that can help each of us develop these qualities that we admire in others (and I quote):
The least important word: I (gets the least amount done)
The most important word: We (gets the most done) - relationships
The two most important words: Thank You - appreciation
The three most important words: All is forgiven - forgiveness
The four most important words: What is your opinion? - listening
The five most important words: You did a good job encouragement
The six most important words: I want to know you better - understanding
Life ..... is...... about..... people. Lets value and appreciate them. Let us continue to make a difference in their lives by encouraging them in their God given destiny and calling.

Psalm 37:4 "Delight yourseilf in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart"
'Delight' means "to give great pleasure, satisfaction, or enjoyment to; please highly: give pleasure to or be pleasing to". That's what our God deserves. As He delights in us and as we 'delight' in Him, He will give us the desires of our hearts. Let's make this a year where we focus on our 'delight' in the Lord e.g. when we read His word, when we spend time in His presence, through prayer and intercession, when we meet together with other believers etc.
May all of you who read this, be 'touched' by the power of God's love.
